Emotional Intelligence

Course Description:

Daniel Goleman, author of the book Primal Leadership: Realizing the Power of Emotional Intelligence, wrote “Emotional intelligence is the capacity for recognizing our own feelings and those of others, for motivating ourselves, for managing emotions well in ourselves and in our relationships.” People with high levels of emotional intelligence tend to be more articulate and able to generate enthusiasm for a shared vision—a common characteristic of transformational leaders. Emotionally intelligent people are able to gain the respect of others because they demonstrate and exhibit qualities such as empathy, motivation, self-awareness/control, personal influence and a mastery of vision.
