Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developing Core People Skills

Course Description:

No matter what job a person has, people are a part of it. Everyone needs to be interpersonally effective to succeed. This one day workshop involves participants in assessing and improving their people skills in five core areas:

  • Understanding people
  • Communicating clearly
  • Asserting needs
  • Influencing others
  • Resolving conflict
  • The program is designed in such a way that it can be used both as an initial workshop prior to more intensive training and as a refresher to previous interpersonal skills training.

  • Explore the benefits of good people skills
  • Assess one's current people skills
  • Examine the common mistakes people make in dealing with others
  • Practice core people skills
  • Select areas for improvement
