Sexual Harassment

Course Description:

All managers must understand that there are specific elements that establish a claim of sexual harassment and specific actions they can take to reduce their company's exposure to lawsuits and liability. This one day program examines the cognitive, affective, and behavioral components of sexual harassment.

The subject is one that arouses strong feelings, and participants will have an opportunity to examine and recognize those feelings, to evaluate situations of alleged harassment, and to take steps to lessen complaints.

Key objectives:

  • Review the legal definition of sexual harassment
  • Differentiate between situations that satisfy the legal definition of sexual harassment and those that do not
  • Examine the different attitudes in the workplace based on gender
  • Identify reactions to sexual harassment
  • Specify preventive measures available to a company to protect itself and its employees from sexual harassment
