What is the Objective of Train-the-Trainer?
If you have staff instructors and/or Subject Matter Experts (SME) with limited experience in course delivery and little or no formal training in instructional techniques, we have what you need to bring them "up-to-speed" in the classroom.
What is Involved?
We provide the key "survival" skills new instructors and SMEs need to present effectively. To do this, we will:
- Meet with trainees to assess and evaluate which skills need to be learned and/or improved.
- Teach trainees to project confidence and enthusiasm.
- Provide techniques for making dull material come to life.
- Help trainees avoid problems and errors often made by inexperienced instructors.
- Focus on practical skills.
- Provide sufficient practice to ensure learning transfer.
- Help trainees overcome the nervousness and anxiety that new instructors feel.
- Assist trainees in achieving credibility.
Using your training venue along with a non-threatening, supportive and congenial atmosphere helps the new instructor assimilate the skills more quickly. Trainees receive specific feedback, a personal videotape, written feedback, and suggestions for improvement.
